Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Belgrave Archive Studio collects when you use the Windows application, visit this website, or open a share. It is written for humans. If a sentence is doing legal work, we say so.
Who we are
Belgrave Archive Studio (“Belgrave”, “we”) is based in London. For privacy questions write to privacy@belgravearchive.com. We are the controller for account data, website logs and share records. You are the controller for media you put in a project.
What we collect
- Account. Name, email, company, billing country, and the plan you are on. We do not require a phone number.
- The Windows app. Licence state, app version, OS version, and crash reports if you opt in. Project files stay on your disk unless you upload them to a vault or a share.
- Shares. Who created the share, who opened it in the Windows app, IP address, and whether they commented. Media in a share is stored so the recipient can play it after they install Belgrave.
- This website. Essential cookies, pages requested, and a standard server log (IP, user agent, time). We do not run advertising pixels.
Why we collect it
To run the product you asked for: licence the app, deliver share links, bill Pro and Studio, fix crashes you send us, and keep the site up. We do not sell personal data. We do not use project media to train models.
Legal bases (UK GDPR)
Contract, for the app and paid plans. Legitimate interests, for security logs and preventing abuse of share links. Consent, for optional crash reports and any cookie that is not essential (we do not set those today). Legal obligation, where tax or a court requires a record.
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as the account is open, then 24 months unless the law needs it longer. Share-link access logs for 12 months. Crash reports for 90 days. Server logs for 30 days. You can ask us to delete an account; media you stored only locally is already on your machine.
Processors
We use a European cloud region for vaults and shares, a UK payments provider for cards, and an email provider for receipts and product mail you can leave. We do not hand project files to a subcontractor for “enrichment.”
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold, and object to or restrict some processing. Write to privacy@belgravearchive.com. You can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). We will not punish you for asking.
Children
Belgrave is a professional tool. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will date the top of this page and, for account holders, send a short email. The cookie notice and terms sit alongside this document.
